About Us

IMPORTANT NOTICE – UNFORTUNATELY WE HAVE HAD TO WIND THE SOCIETY UP AS OF SEPTEMBER 2018 BECAUSE WE WERE NOT ABLE TO GET PEOPLE TO STAND FOR THE MAIN ROLES OF CHAIR, TREASURER AND SECRETARY. WE ARE KEEPING THIS WEBSITE UP FOR GENERAL INFORMATION. SOME OF THE ALLOTMENT SITES IN CHORLEY HAVE THEIR FACEBOOK PAGES.

WE HAVE LODGED OUR CLOSING FINANCIAL RESOURCES WITH THE NATIONAL ALLOTMENT SOCIETY AND THEY WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR BONA FIDE APPLICANTS WHO RESTART THE SOCIETY. FOR MORE INFORMATION CONTACT BILL TAYLOR – BILL.TAYLOR0211@GMAIL.COM OR THE ALLOTMENT OFFICER AT CHORLEY BOROUGH COUNCIL (CURRENTLY LINDSEY BLACKSTOCK) VIA THE CBC WEBSITE.

We are a small allotment society in Chorley. The sites where we have members are: Crosse Hall; Windsor Rd; Bay Horse, Whittle Le Woods; Moor Rd, Manor Rd and Rangletts Rec (all Council owned and run) and Brown House Lane, Canal Side, Nab Cottage Farm and Kem Mill (private sites).

Hi, I’ve had an allotment for  7 years now on the Bay Horse Site in Whittle Le Woods. When I took the Chairmanship of the Society about 5 years ago we only had 30 members – the committee has worked really hard in getting membership up and we now have about 50 members which is an all time high. We are always looking for people to help out with a range of functions – growing seedlings for the market stall, helping with socials, the newsletter and fundraising, If you would like to help in any way please contact me for a chat.
